m-learning

Mobile learning is spreading its wings in the education sector rapidly. Various organization are realizing that it is a good time to invest in it as the workforce is also changing. If you want to upskill your employees, who are tech savvy and like learning on-the-go, you have to adapt to their way of learning. Technology is the key point to connect with them faster. Same holds true for school and college kids as well. Let’s take a look at some of the mobile learning trends that are already gaining momentum in 2018 and are here to stay:

The mobile learning industry is growing: As per the figures, the mobile learning industry touched a staggering $12.2 billion mark by the end of 2017. The size of the mobile workforce will be tripled in 2018 compared to what it was last year as per Gartner’s prediction. This means each user will have more than three mobile devices on an average and if one of it doesn’t work, they always have a backup ready. So if a smartphone is suitable for text reading, a tablet will be a better choice to watch simulations. It’s important to have your mobile learning strategy in place.

BYOD is for keeps: Almost 70% of professionals will prefer taking care of their business on personal mobile devices in 2018, according to a research by SailPoint. This means employees will bring their own device even if organizations do not provide them. They will not wait for the organization to adopt the BYOD strategy as they are already used to the convenience of a smartphone and accessing the data anytime anywhere.

It is safe to say the base of m-learning revolution is already laid. It will only take a leap from here.
